Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark received several messages from WNBA and college basketball players

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark has one regular season game remaining in her historic WNBA rookie season. Locked into the sixth seed, Indiana could face the Las Vegas Aces, Connecticut Sun or Minnesota Lynx in the first round of the playoffs.

Clark enters Indiana’s regular-season finale averaging 19.5 points, 8.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds. No player in WNBA history has averaged these numbers for an entire season, which is one of several feats Clark has accomplished in her rookie campaign.

Sending out an Instagram post ahead of Indiana’s regular-season finale, Clark shared seven photos that received over 210,000 likes and 1,500 comments in less than one day.

One of the comments Clark received under this post came from LSU women’s basketball star Flau’jae Johnson.

“Indy on the map,” Johnson wrote.

Johnson played with Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese at LSU, and the two won a national championship together in 2023. A decorated collegiate star in just two seasons at LSU, Johnson was the 2022-23 SEC Rookie of the Year before turning in an even better sophomore season.

LSU defeated Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes in the 2023 championship game, which included the viral “you can’t see me” taunt that Reese directed at Clark.

Reese recently revealed on her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast that she and Johnson are not as close as they once were, but there are no hard feelings.

“I still support Flau’jae,” Reese said. “We aren’t as close as we used to be. And there’s no hard feelings or anything, but we aren’t as close.”
