As the WNBA regular season has come to a close, a Chicago Sky star has rejected the idea of playing with Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
The WNBA in 2024 has intensified a rivalry between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever, mostly due to each team’s standout rookies.
Clark, drafted first overall, and Angel Reese, picked seventh, have been battling it out since their college days, and now they’re dominating the WNBA.
Clark ended the season with a league-lead in assists with 8.4 per game, while Reese topped the rebounds with 13.1 per game.
Chicago Sky center Kamilla Cardoso (10) battles for the ball with Indiana Fever forward Aliyah Boston (7).
But Reese is not the only rookie doing big things in the Windy City. No. 3 overall draft pick Kamilla Cardoso, a center who played her college basketball at South Carolina, has also put up big numbers in 2024.

Recently, Cardoso was on Instagram Live when a fan left a comment telling her to come to Indiana and play for the Fever.
“COME TO INDIANA,” the fan wrote.
Cardoso read the comment aloud and was quick to shut it down.
“I heard there’s not a lot to do in Indiana.”
Cardoso’s rookie season came to a close with the Chicago Sky finishing with a 13-27 record – not enough to make the WNBA Playoffs. Cardoso averaged 9.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game.
On the other hand, the Indiana Fever clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2016. They are the sixth seed and finished with a record of 20-20.
