There were more than a few big names that came to watch Team USA take on France in the gold medal game on Saturday. This included both past and present NBA stars. Carmelo Anthony and Draymond Green were among those present to witness history unfold.

They were not left disappointed.

Team USA got the job done against the host team, taking down Victor Wembanyama and Co., 98-87. Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry stole the show with an incredible 24-point performance in which the GOAT shooter knocked down eight 3s against the French.

LeBron James did his thing, too. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer produced a 14-point, 10-assist double-double to lock up the tournament’s MVP title.

As the squad was celebrating its gold-medal victory, LeBron was seen dapping up Carmelo Anthony, who is one of James’ closest friends. Standing beside Melo was former NBA star Stephon Marbury.

Apparently, LeBron gave Marbury the cold shoulder, an incident media personality Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson decided to throw in Marbury’s face.

“Yo @StarburyMarbury how come LeBron didn’t speak to you after the Gold Medal game?” Robinson tweeted.

Marbury responded by claiming the Lakers talisman did not notice him.

“He didn’t see me ” the former two-time All-Star said.

Robinson then presented some irrefutable video evidence to counter Marbury’s claim.

To be fair, you can see in the video that LeBron did give Marbury a bit of an arm tap, but it did not seem like James gave the 47-year-old the time of day.

“I turned invisible,” Marbury responded.

Marbury then took a shot at LeBron by insinuating James may have a bit of beef with him.

“He’s not strong enough to say something,” Marbury tweeted. “So funny, his friend Draymond gave me dap by accident . It was classic. When he realized, he was like, ‘Damn, I messed up the code.'”

For context, Marbury recently went viral for saying LeBron does not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Michael Jordan.

“People wanna rank Jordan?” Marbury said. “Jordan shouldn’t even be ranked. It should be Kobe, then LeBron and then you can pick guys after that. There’s just no comparison man. It’s not the same. It’s just different worlds. Different mentalities. I don’t know why Jordan’s name is mentioned in the same conversation sometimes.”

The outspoken former No. 4 pick doubled down on this claim in a subsequent tweet.

“Shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same breath as MJ,” he wrote.

Beef or no beef, what is clear is LeBron wasn’t too fond of Marbury — at least during their postgame courtside encounter. Even Marbury isn’t denying it.
