Patrick Mahomes keeps his cool, ignoring the Raiders’ froggy antics! The NFL went wild when a video dropped on July 25 of the Silver and Black players mocking the Chiefs’ QB with a Kermit the Frog puppet. The childish antics were clearly meant to get under his skin, but Mahomes refused to rise to the bait.
In a tweet shared by the NFL, when asked if Mahomes would let the Raiders off easy, he simply replied, “Yeah, man.” The stinging loss to the Las Vegas team on Dec. 25 is all the fuel the Kansas City QB needs. “I didn’t have any more motivation than how they beat us on Christmas Day last year,” he said.

Mahomes is taking the high road, focusing on prepping for the upcoming season. Instead of engaging in trash talk, the young signal caller’s letting his game do the talking. “It’s going to be an excellent game, and they got a great defense,” he said, hinting at a potential on-field showdown. In a conversation with CBS Sports, Chiefs’ HC Andy Reid downplayed the Kermit joke, saying, “I’d probably say, we don’t spend a lot of time here with puppets. We try to do our work and try and get better. ”
Raiders’ safety Trey Taylor, who dropped the B-word about the puppet in the video, tried to play it cool as well. “It’s all in good fun,” Taylor said, brushing off the drama. “We’re just trying to have some fun with it.” HC Antonio Pierce also commented on the drama, stating, “We addressed it as a team yesterday. It’s over with.” But the taunts and remarks told a different story.
